In Elnore’s family, they grew up with a pool. Family and friends were frequently over and their house was the centre of activity; it was awesome! This is why she chooses to build beautiful and useful outdoor spaces – pools are a passion project for her!
While currently working in construction, building beautiful and useful outdoor spaces, Elnore’s work experience and education has deep roots in hospitality and accounting.
After moving from Victoria to Alberta in 2001 as part of the great migration, she moved back home in 2014 where she accepted a position at a local construction company. Elnore was rotated through an ‘internship’ in all departments and finally rested in the Project Coordinator position. It was a short leap to Projects and Operations Director at another local construction company. In this position, she expanded her project management skills, working directly with the crews in the field, sourcing subcontractors, materials and scheduling in addition to building the overall infrastructure of the company.
Always having been entrepreneurially spirited, she thought why not build a company where her own values and goals were ingrained from the beginning? This is when Bliss Pools was born. One of her top goals is to provide a living wage for everyone that works with Bliss Pools; she firmly believes in removing the first two primary concerns of food and shelter to see people engage, shine, and grow.
Elnore is certified to install Imagine Fiberglass Pools and Latham Vinyl Liner Pools.
Jason was raised in Victoria and was also part of the great migration to Alberta. It was there in 2009 that he joined a family business that specialized in shotcrete application pool building. He learned all aspects of pool building from form work, rebar installation, shotcrete application, tile work, plaster installation and finishing pool decks.
During his time in the concrete industry, he lent his expertise to every type of wet mix shotcrete applications. This included geotechnical shotcrete applications (shoring and retaining), structural shotcrete (foundations and retaining walls), architectural shotcrete (fake rock / stamped custom items) and custom pools and hot tubs.
After moving home to Victoria to be closer to family in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, Jason worked as a Structural Shotcrete Superintendent for a local concrete company. His creative side was rejuvenated when he decided to join Bliss Pools in 2023.
Jason has over 14 years in the concrete pool building industry and is currently certified through the American Concrete Institute as a Nozzleman. He has a 100% success rate on all engineering test pieces, and is proud of this record that has led to a strong reputation for excellence in the industry.
